Lahmajoun is a thin, crispy flatbread topped with spiced minced meat, vegetables, and herbs—often called Armenian pizza. It's rolled up with fresh vegetables and eaten by hand.
Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 cup Warm water
- 1 tsp Active dry yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 400 g Ground lamb or beef
- 1 large Onion, finely minced
- 1 medium Green bell pepper, minced
- 2 medium Tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, minced
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 lemon Lemon wedges for serving
- to taste Fresh herbs and vegetables for rolling
